These works were created without sketches, references, or a predetermined idea of what they were meant to become.
Intuitive painting is a little like traveling without a map, you don’t know where it will take you or what might emerge along the way.
And that is precisely what makes the moment when your own painting begins to take shape out of color and spontaneous lines so captivating. You haven’t copied it from anyone. You’ve never seen it before. It has come into existence for the very first time - through you.
So much of our everyday life requires us to stay in control: to know what we’re doing, where we’re going, and what the outcome should look like. The more accustomed we become to living this way, the harder it can be to move from a place of curiosity, intuition, and trust in ourselves.
Creativity offers a rare and safe space to practice something different. To not know in advance. To let go of the need to make something beautiful right away. To follow your own impulses, curiosity, and pleasure.
And you are not left alone in front of a blank canvas. The facilitator gently guides the process and creates an atmosphere where the inner critic can gradually grow quieter, making room for freedom - to experiment, to play, and simply to enjoy creating.
There is something wonderfully familiar about this, something we knew as children, when we created not for the result, but because the process itself was exciting. For a few hours, we can return to that state: thinking a little less, feeling a little more, exploring, and simply being present in the moment.
