For more than ten years, I worked as a photographer. Later, when psychology and painting entered my life, photography gradually receded into the past, having fulfilled its purpose and made way for other ways of seeing, speaking to the world, expressing myself, and allowing something greater to move through me.

I want to keep some portraits of women here because they hold something that has always drawn my eye. Not the image of a woman, but the woman behind the image. Her strength and vulnerability, sensuality, tenderess and wildness, dignity and mystery. Sometimes these qualities were fully present; sometimes barely visible, hidden somewhere beneath the surface, or only beginning to emerge.

I was drawn to all of it, not only to a woman in her strength, but also in her becoming. To the moments when she may not yet know who she is, when something in her is still searching, still unfolding, perhaps even lost... There is beauty in that, too.

A woman does not need to have arrived somewhere in order to be whole in the moment she is living.

So I leave these photographs here not as a record of a former profession, but as a testament to a way of seeing that remains with me today.

Only now, instead of a camera, I have other methods.
